I have been playing guitar for over thirty years and have over twenty years of teaching experience. I have a degree in Poplar Music Performance from The Guitar Institute/Basstech (now the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, London).

Lessons can be adapted to the needs of the student and can be tailored to meet all levels from absolute beginners to more experienced players who want to develop a specific aspect of their playing.

- Acoustic and Electric guitar

- Jazz / Latin

Techniques I teach:

- Strumming and fingerstyle

- Music theory, from the basics up to advanced jazz reharmonisation

- Working on tone, including use of effects 

- Instrument setup and adjustment

- Sight reading 

- Chart reading

- Soloing and improvisation including use of pentatonic scales and modes

- The CAGED system
